fpm wins first place at the "Kulturplakat 2011" [Cultural Poster 2011] competition

Out of a total of 330 cultural posters submitted and a one-month voting period, the "Fliegenpilz" motif managed to impress and win the "Guteplakate.de 2011" competition with 686 votes from the public jury.

The "Fliegenpilz" poster from the "Rote Sonne" live club in Munich is part of a series of image posters that were designed by fpm. They catch your eye due to their striking, minimalist look. The acts and bands of the month are advertised by a collage of text around the month's key motif. The colouring is taken from the Rote Sonne logo and therefore is always black, red and white. The Rote Sonne poster series has already been awarded the IF Communication Design Award 2011.

About the competition:

The "guteplakate.de" cultural poster competition was organised by ARTEFAKT Kulturkonzepte in cooperation with Ströer Out-of-Home Media and aims to award effective public relations posters, which advertise all kinds of cultural events in cities. The competition is financed by ARTEFAKT Kulturkonzepte, Ströer and other partners. It is free to enter. There are attractive prizes for the winners of cultural placards and other media services worth EUR 15,000 in total. The Germany-wide poster competition ended on 30th November and attracted a large number of entrants and experts. The decision as to which cultural organiser is this year's prize winner is made by a public jury online. The "guteplakate.de" cultural poster competition will take place again next year.
