Design for the revolutionary Fischer Vacuum ski boot
Factor Product München (fpm), a leading german design firm, has made a crucial contribution to the success of Fischer's revolutionary ski boot. The "Fischer Vacuum" is made of remoldable polymere (Vacu-Plast) that can be conformed to the individual foot of the user. It is a true example of mass customization. FPM has designed the complete customization process in the shop, navigating shop assistant and customer through the steps of the fitting procedure with maximum ease. The fpm designed "Vacuum Fit Station" lies at the heart of the process. This is where the boot is conformed to the buyer's individual foot. To Fischer and fpm, the goal was to create a great user experience, effectively communicating Fischer's brand values throughout.
